UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Scotland Champions, Celtic FC are through to the playoff round of the UEFA Champions League after beating Rosenborg 1-0.

An outstanding strike from a tight angle from James Forrest was the goal Celtic needed to advance on aggregate after a 0-0 draw at the Celtic Park last week.

Celtic who are in the hat of the draw on Friday will now face either of Astana, Qarabag, Rijeka, Hapoel Beer Sheva or Slavia Prague in the play-off round.

The draw for the Playoff round of the UEFA Champions League will be held in Nyon on Friday at 10:00GMT.
