Chelsea legend and England international Frank Lampard has joined the BT sports team for the start of the new season as he will be a pundit for the coverage of the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
Lampard, 39, who announced his retirement in April will join Liverpool legend and England teammate, Steven Gerrard and Manchester United pair of Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes.
This is a rich BT Sports team as they will analyse all 380 games in the Premier League plus the UEFA Champions League starting in September.
Frank Lampard will begin his punditry work at BT Sports this Sunday, 6th August, 2017 for the curtain raiser of the season; the FA Community Shield.
The all time leading goalscorer for Chelsea with 211 goals was excited at the offer saying; “I’m delighted to be joining BT Sport”.
“I’m looking forward to an exciting new season both here and in Europe and can’t wait to begin working with the team”, the ex WestHam midfielder added.
BT Sports alongside Sky Sports secured the rights to telecast the Premier League games live and will be telecasting over 40 games live for UK residents.
Supersport, the leading TV broadcasters in Africa will be telecasting the game live for those resident in Africa as they have secured the rights from Sky Sports, BT Sports and the Premier League to do so.
