NEYMAR – I HAVE COME TO PSG FOR A NEW CHALLENGE

Newly signed star of Paris St Germain has taken over the city of Paris by storm as he is presented to the French media and PSG fans today.

He was joined by Nassir Al Khelaifi when he was officially presented to the media this morning in Paris after completing his move to the French capital.

He explained thus, ” I am in love with the PSG project and as an athlete, I have to seek new and greater challenges”

” I only made the decision to join this club two days ago and I am very very happy as I have followed my heart”.

 

Asked if he was driven by the challenege to free himself from the Messi eclipse and become his own man, Neymar said ” not at all, That did not influence me at all. My desire to come to Paris was because I was looking for a new challenge and not for lack of been the leader or because I felt uncomfortable. It’s not what I want. I have not looked for it in my life. I look for titles and new challenges, “he said.

“He went on to explain that PSG has the potential to become the greatest club in the world and so it is important I become part of that history”.

 

Neymar has agreed to a five year deal that will keep him at the Pac de Princes till 2022.

During his presentation, he thanked his new Argentine team mate for giving him the number 10 jersey; “I would like to thank Javier Pastore for giving me his number. All credit and respect to him”.

The former Barcelona winger was greeted with a rousing and deafening welcome by the PSG fans as he was unveiled.

This was also welcome with a big applause from far away Brazil, his native country, They believe he has more potential to become the world best player, but for the presence of Leo Messi at Barcelona, Neymar got ambushed, hence this PSG platform will help him to showcase his talent ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The President of the club, Nassir Al Khelaifi who could not hide his joy also said, “Neymar is here to write a great history for Paris St Germain”.
