Kumasi Asante Kotoko played a 1-1 draw with Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium yesterday.
The Porcupine Warriors who were playing their first game since the accident on July 12 could not get maximum points and needed to come back from a goal down to secure a point.
It was one of the fascinating moments as the two sides showcase what they were made of with both sides dominating the game as the match wears on.
Kotoko started on the front, piling pressure on the Phobians but ended the half 0-0 after both sides could not make use of the rare chances that befell them.
Hearts took the lead in the 60th minute as a dazzling skill from Winfred Cobbinnah put Fatau Mohammed through on goal with the right back sending a low cross across the face of goal for Kwame Kizzito to tap in.
Kotoko came in stronger and had a shot blocked by Vincent Atinga with the hand in the box and the resulting penalty was expertly dispatched by striker Saddick Adams in the 80th minute.
The game ended 1-1 after four minutes added time.
