REFEREE JOSEPH WELLINGTON: DALLY GAGBA WAS NOT IN THE BEST SHAPE

Retired FIFA referee Joseph Wellington has indicated that Oda based referee Dally Gagba who officiated the Super Clash between Kotoko and Hearts of Oak was not in the best shape as he was not impressed with his performances.

Kotoko played a 1-1 draw with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak amidst controversies at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. It was GPL matchweek 23 outstanding game.

Speaking on Happy FM Anopa Bosuo, a local based radio in Accra, referee Joseph Wellington said; “Referee Gagba wasn’t in his best shape after the first three minutes and his demeanour throughout the game was not on point”.

“I have known him for along time and per his performances in the season, I think he struggled in the match”, the retired referee added.

“With the penalty call, I didn’t see it clearly and I didn’t have the benefit of a replay, but we’ll review his performance before coming out with a decision”, he indicated.

The ex referee who is a FIFA referee instructor shown his displeasure at Dally Gagba’s officiating.
