English Premier League side, Liverpool has rejected a bid of 100 million euros (£90m) from FC Barcelona for their midfielder, Philippe Coutinho.
Barcelona have seen a second bid for the Brazilian playmaker rejected immediately by the Merseysiders.
The bid which was worth initial 85m euros (£76.8m) plus 15m euros (£13.5m) in add-ons.
Coutinho, who joined Liverpool from Inter Milan in 2013 for a fee of £8.5m have been on the radar of FC Barcelona since Neymar left the club for a world record fee.
Liverpool and their manager, Jurgen Klopp has indicated that the 25 year old is not up for sale adding that they are not “a selling club” after rejecting Barcelona’s first bid of £72m.
Philippe Coutinho is reported to have shown interest to join the Catalans but the club still stands of not selling the player who have four years left on his current deal after penning a new five year deal in January.
Philippe Coutinho scored 14 goals last season despite spending six weeks on the sidelines.
