American Floyd Mayweather has indicated that his bout against UFC champion Conor McGregor, 29, in Las Vegas on 26 August, 2017 ‘wont travel distance’.
Floyd Mayweather, 40, who is yet to taste defeat in all professional fights retired after his bout with Manny Pacquaio but came out to fight Andre Berto which he won unanimously.
He has again come out of retirement to fight the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Irish Conor McGregor.
He told reporters; “He’s looking forward to ending the fight early, I’m looking forward to ending the fight early- it won’t travel the distance”.
“It’s not really watching fight tapes, it’s about knowing the person you’re facing across the ring from you”.
“You want to know what they like to eat, what they’re doing when they’re not in camp”.
Mayweather will be willing to make it 50 times undefeated when he takes on McGregor.
Before the main bout, Brit Nathan Cleverly will take on Swedish Badou Jack on the undercard of the Mayweather-McGregor bout.
