FC Barcelona have confirmed officially on their website that they have reached an agreement with Guangzhou Evergrande for the transfer of Brazilian midfielder Paulinho Bezerra.
Barcelona also affirmed that Paulinho has agreed to a four year deal and will pay 40 million Euros to the Chinese club. The player’s buy clause is set at 120 million euros.
Paulinho will undergo a club medical on Thursday and the signing of the contract and the official presentation of the new FC Barcelona player will also take place on Thursday with the following timetable:

- At 12.45pm the signing of the contract at the President Suñol suite in a private event.
- At 1.15pm, official presentation at the South Goal end at Camp Nou.
- At 2.15pm, press conference in the Ricard Maxenchs press room at Camp Nou.
- At 1.45pm, official photo session on the field at Camp Nou
Paulinho was born on 25 July 1988 in São Paulo in Brazil as José Paulo Bezerra Maciel Júnior, he is player who is stands out for being a powerful midfielder at 1.82m tall who can get into the box and can play anywhere in the middle of the park. The 29 year old has plenty of experience in the game in various continents.
Paulinho is a regular in the Brazilian national team under coach Titi and has been one of the players who has featured most for the national team in recent years. The 29 year old made his debut for ‘la canarinha’ in 2011 and 41 caps to his name with 9 goals and was part of the squad that won the Confederations Cup in 2013.
He also played for English side Tottenham Hotspurs from 2013 to 2015 scoring 10 goals in 67 games.
