Manchester City defender Lucy Bronze is in talks over a proposed move with UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) winners Olympique Lyonnais.
Bronze, 25, wants to join the French club and could complete the deal this week.
Olympique Lyonnais beat Paris St-Germain on penalties in June to win the UWCL after eliminating Manchester City 3-2 on aggregate in the semi finals.
Lyon has won 11 consecutive league titles and have been super in France and in Europe.
Lucy Bronze has won 48 caps for the Lionesses of England after making her debut in 2013 and was part of the England squad that reached the semi finals of the 2017 Women’s Euro.
Her scintillating performances has seen her win consecutive PFA Women’s Player of the Year in 2016 and in 2017 and also helped Manchester City win the 2017 Women’s FA Cup.
The ex-Liverpool player was also part of City’s squad that won the 2016 Women’s Super League (WSL) as well as the 2016 Continental Cup (League Cup).
Lucy Bronze in her days with Liverpool Women won back-to-back league titles before joining city Manchester City in 2014.
She has played for Everton, Liverpool and Manchester City and now wants to seek career abroad with the defending European Champions.
