The coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Steven Pollack expressed his disappointment at how his team was awarded a bizarre penalty for them to beat Nea Salamina 2-1 in the MTN FA Cup.
Asante Kotoko had to wait till the 93rd minute to win a controversial penalty awarded by referee Yakubu Hunu Liman from Wa.
Captain Amos Frimpong converted the penalty to make it 2-1 in order for the Porcupine Warriors to secure their qualification for the next round of the MTN FA Cup.
Steven Pollack revealed during the post match press conference that he was not happy with the way Referee Nuhu awarded that penalty and blantly told media men present that that was not a penalty.
” I am a professional coach who want to win matches in a proper way of course but not by the help of this bad penalty, I can say it was not a clear penalty the was given to us” Pollack said.
Saddick Adams put Kotoko ahead in the first half and Ebenezer Aboagye leveled for the Division One side in the second half.
