CINCINNATI MASTERS: GRIGOR DIMITROV WINS TO REACH QUARTER FINALS

Grigor Dimitrov from Bulgaria won in the third round after beating Argentine Juan Martin del Potro in straight sets to reach the quarter finals.

Dimitrov beat del Potro for the first time in six meetings to set up a last eight clash with Yuichi Sugita from Japan.

Rains were at its best in Cincinnati with most of the Men’s play suspended to today.

Rafael Nadal who was drawn to play fellow Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas will play their game today after rains halted the game.

The winner of the tie between Nadal and Ramos-Vinolas will face either Croat Ivo Karlovic or Australian Nick Kyrgios who also saw their game suspended due to rains with the Croat leading 4-3 when the match was called off.

In other games, Austrian Dominic Thiem will take on David Ferrer from Spain on Friday with USA’s John Isner taking on fellow American Jared Donaldson on Friday.

The winners will play twice on Friday as the quarter finals will take place today.
