Olympique Lyon has signed Manchester City defender Lucy Bronze after talks were completed with the player passing a medical.
The England right back who has 48 caps to her name has signed a three-year contract with Lyon to turn down a new deal at City that could have made her the highest earner at the club.
Bronze, 25, who was part of City squad that won the Women’s FA Cup, the Women’s Super League and the Continental Cup wants to move elsewhere in taste of European glory.
She is also a key player in England reaching consecutive semi finals at major tourneys and will add more experience to the defending Women’s Champions League winners Lyon.
Lucy Bronze won back-to-back league titles with Liverpool Ladies and was twice named PFA Women’s Player of the Year.
With Bronze moving to Lyon, forward Pauline Bremer has also moved the opposite way with the Lyon striker joining Manchester City.
Bremer, 21, was part of the Lyon squad that has won the last two Women’s Champions League titles.
