The Assistant coach of the Black Stars (B), Maxwell Konadu has warned his side of the dangers of playing Burkina Faso in the qualification for the Total African Nations Championship.
Speaking on Metro FM in Kumasi, Konadu sounded confident but cautious.
“We shouldn’t be over confidence coming into this game. If we beat The Burkinabes is not a news. We scored two goals away. But we should still be careful”
“We have to respect our opponent (Burkina Faso) and that can help us win the game tomorrow”
“The Burkina Faso team have nothing to lose. There is no pressure on them”
“They (Burkinabes) run a lot their strength and height are as compared to ours looks the same but they are very strong. And that’s why we called Vincent Atinga and Ahmed Adams”.
“Awal Mohammed has been sent home due to his sickness but Sadick Adams is in good shape and trained with us this Morning”
“We are putting things in place so that we do not concede. we have spoken to the boys and as a matter of fact a clean sheet ensure our qualification.”
Ghana has won silver on two editions; 2009 and 2014 to DR Congo and Libya respectively and therefore are expected to go further as they approach Kenya 2018.
