Paris St. Germain new boy Neymar and world record signing scored twice on his home debut as his club beat Toulouse 6-2 on Sunday.
Neymar was the thorn in the flesh of the Toulouse defence and was almost involved in all the goals.
PSG were pegged back in the 18th minute as on-loan striker and Ivorian Max Gradel scored a volley to put the visitors ahead.
But Neymar restored parity in the 31st minute after Adrien Rabiot shot was parried onto his path before replicating the same gesture to Rabiot to put the Paris side 2-1 up.
PSG were reduced to 10 men after Marco Verrati was given his second booking on the night after 69 minutes of action played but went 3-1 up thanks to an expert penalty finish from Edison Cavani after Neymar was upended in the box by Andy Delort.
Captain for Toulouse Jullien via a deflection off the head of Thiago Silva reduced the deficit in the 78th minute but sublime goals from Javier Pastore in the 82nd minute following a Neymar corner and a sweet volley from left-back Layvin Kurzawa in the 84th minute ensured PSG went 5-2 up.
Neymar had the last taste of the goals as he dazzled past the Toulouse defence to slot in his second and PSG’s sixth to ensure they move top of the Ligue 1 standings after three round of games played.
