Former Ghana Black Stars goalkeeper Abubakari Damba has called on the Ghana Football Association to hand the goalkeeper’s trainer role at the Black Stars “B” to former Ghanaian goalkeeper and now Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Richard Kingston.
According to Damba who was also a goalkeeper’s trainer said Kingston working with the local side will help train more goalkeepers from our league to the senior national team, the Black Stars and that his vast experience wit the national team will benefit the goalkeepers in the local side.
He told the Legends Show on GHOne; “Richard Kingson is a very experienced goalkeeper and most of the goalkeepers in the Black Stars ‘B’ look up to him so if he is given oversight responsibility over the team he would have a great positive impact on these boys”.
“I believe that if Kwesi Appiah as head coach of the Black Stars has been given oversight responsibility over the Local Black Stars then same must apply to Kingston”, he added.
“That is where he can actually teach and the keepers can actually praticalize what he is teaching them”, he continued.
