English Premier League side, Crystal Palace have sacked their coach Frank de Boer after accumulating four consecutive looses.
The former Ajax and Inter Milan Coach took over the ruins of Crystal Palace from Sam Alladyce.
With his dismissal, de Boer sets a record in the Premier League, as it has become the third fastest dismissal in the history of the competition. He has spent just 77 days at the helm of the London club.
Last year, the Dutchman also had another brief experience – from August to November – at the Inter Milan bench, to which he led only eleven days.
De Boer said after loosing 1 – 0 to Burnley that he does not know if he would be at the bench when Palace face Southampton in the coming week end.
“We would like to thank Frank for his dedication and hard work during his time at the club,” said Crystal Palace in a statement. “A new coach will be named in due course and we wish Frank the best of luck for the future,” he added.
Former England Coach, Roy Hodgson is the likely candidate to replace the former Dutch Captain. It is speculated the 70 year old Coach would sign a two year deal with Palace if he is confirmed.
Hodgson had had stint with Fulham and Liverpool in recent years before taking over the English National team from Alladyce who was sacked after a controversial tape was leaked.
