Nabih who spoke to a media house in Egypt said, “players who impress may still have a chance of joining the national team ahead of October’s qualifier against the Red Devils of Congo”.

The statement comes after head coach Hector Cuper announced a squad of 14 foreign-based players invited to participate in the crucial clash.

“Consistency of satisfactory performance is the key to earning a spot on the national team. If a player plays five or six matches and keeps improving his performance, he will defintely get our attention,” Nabih said to DMC Sports.

On Tuesday, Nabih has also commented on the recent media criticism leveled against Cuper, saying that the technical team doesn’t pass on all such criticisms to the coach.

The Pharaohs are leading the table with 8 points whilst Uganda lag behind them with 7 points followed by Ghana at third position with 5 points.
