Paris Saint Germain striker Edison Cavani caused another stir with club mates when he missed in action during the birthday of Thiago Silva.
Silva captain of PSG, turned 33 years on Monday and had invited all his teammates for the birthday celebration but conspicuously missing was the Uruguayan striker.
It was no surprise Cavani has had some feud with Brazilian star Neymar Junior Santos last week when they beat Lyon 2-0. Most players in the team especially the Brazilian contingent are reported to have scolded Cavani for his inability to allow Neymar effect a penalty during the game and so he also did not take kindly to it.
According to Radio ‘RMC’, Cavani was not the only missing personality, German Julian Draxler and French Layvin Kurzawa could not also turn up. The birthday party took place in the hall of the Pac des Princes where beautiful decorations were made to match the august occasion of the team captain.
The Brazilian contingent from the squad -Neymar, Dani Alves, Marquinhos and Lucas were all present, as well as French striker Kylian Mbappé and Italian midfielder Marco Verratti attended. The coaching staff was also represented by a Brazilian, ex-footballer Maxwell, who acts as a contact between the costumes and the direction.
Cavani joined PSG from Napoli whereas Thiago Silva also joined from AC Milan.
