Kumasi Asante Kotoko have set up a mouth watering finals against eternal rivals Accra Hearts Of Oak in the MTN FA Cup 2017.
The venue of the finals will be the Tamale Sports Stadium on 29th October, 2017.
Kotoko had to rely on an extra time goal by striker Saddick Adams before beating Medeama FC 1-0 to qualify for the finals of the MTN FA Cup.
The fixture had to be replayed after 24 hours because of torrential rains that forced the referee to postpone it on Sunday evening. The pitch at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi was so much soaked up that playing became difficult.
The replay kicked off at 3:00 pm on Monday with both sides showing glimpses of qualifying for the finals.
Bernard Ofori had a bright chance to put Medeama ahead after 30 minutes of play but his poor shot was saved by Goal keeper Felix Annan in post for Kotoko.
Frank Sarfo Gyamfi also had a similar opportunity to ensure Kotoko open up the scores but he also missed the glorious chance to the amazement of the fans at the stadium.
Both sides provided tight midfield and defense so as not to concede any goal.
After 90 minutes of a barren draw, both sides had to settle for extra time though the players looked worn out.
Substitute Saddick Adams who came on in the second half of the game with the 90 minutes took advantage of a low cross from Eric Donkor on the left and slotted home from the turf he was seated after crushing with Medeama defender who had missed the chance to clear the dangerous ball.
Medeama pushed for the equalizer but their best was only to hit the goal post after Ofori beat helpless Felix Annan in Kotoko post.
The Porcupine warriors had to resort to wasteful tactics to delay the time and hang unto their one goal lead to qualify for the finals.
They now face Accra Hearts Of Oak who also beat Wa All Stars 2-1 in the first semi finals.
