ERIC AYIAH ADMITS U17 WORLD CUP WAS TOUGH

Eric Ayiah, captain of Ghana’s U-17 team, Black Starlets has given his general view of the performance of the team at the FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP.

The Starlets Captain spoke on Metro FM in Kumasi on Wednesday.

“There was pressure on me at the beginning of the World Cup but I told myself I can do it so I have to forget about the pressure and move on”, Ayiah said.

The world cup was tough compared to the Afcon in Gabon but we promised to make Ghana proud”, he continued.

“The game against USA was the toughest game for us in the World Cup”

Ghana lost to their African counterparts, Mali 2-1 in the quarter finals of the FIFA Juveinal Mundial played on Saturday.

Ayiah expressed his disappointment for not been able to lead his team to clinch the ultimate.

“I am very disappointed because we were determined to win the World Cup”

“Christiano Ronaldo is the player I look up to and I will work hard to rich his level”

“Kotoko is my team and I wish they score Hearts of Oak 2-1 on Sunday in the FA Cup final”.
