Accra Great Olympics are fighting their way back into the Ghana Premier League after finding themselves in the relegation zone after match day 30.
Their long-standing protest against city rivals Accra Hearts Of Oak has been decided by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association on Wednesday.

The protest by Accra Great Olympics is hereby upheld by a majority decision of 3 to 2. Accra Hearts of Oak SC is held to have been in violation of Article 39(8)(e) of the GFA General Regulations in respect of this matter by the club’s use of cheque to make part payment of a fine.
The scoreline of the match shall be 3-0 in favour of Accra Great Olympics FC in accordance with Article 31 of the GFA Disciplinary Code.
Full written opinions of the Disciplinary Committee to be delivered to parties on a later date.
This means Olympics will get 40 points but still remain in the danger zone as they await another decision yet to be given by the DC of GFA.
Hearts of Oak would also lose 6 points.
Olympics lost to Bechem United 1 -0 on the last day of the league.
