I WAS PLAYED OUT OF POSITION IN INDIA – EMMANUEL TOKU

Emmanuel Toku who featured prominently for Ghana in the FIFA U-17 Championship has revealed why he could not perform to his expected level during the tournament.
The diminutive offensive midfielder accepted that he performed below par especially in the game against Mali which saw the Black Starlets been eliminated at the quarter final stage.
Speaking on Metro FM in Kumasi on Wednesday morning the Slack Starlet said “I was used at the wrong position by my Coach in the U17 World Cup in India and a lot of changes in our team also affected our play”.
He went on to confirm rumours that about fifteen of the Starlets will leave the shores of Ghana to seek further development of their career after the tournament.
“Many teams are after my signature. Manchester City sent scouts to watch me at the U17 World Cup”, Toku explained.
“Barcelona sent scouts to watch me at the U17 World Cup in India and many Spainsh teams are after my signature”, he said.
“Gabon tournament was different from the world cup in India”.
Toku went on to affirm his support for Kumasi Asante Kotoko who will be taking on their arch rivals Accra Hearts Of Oak in the finals of the MTN FA Cup in Tamale on Sunday.
“Kotoko is my team and I pray that they score Hearts of Oak 2-0 in the FA Cup final on Sunday” Toku concluded.
The Ghana U 17 contingent returned home on Tuesday after loosing 2-1 to Mali on Saturday.
