PRISON LADIES PIP POLICE LADIES IN SANFORD FA CUP FINAL

Prison Ladies have won the 2017 Sanford Women’s FA final.

They beat Police Ladies 1-0 in the mouth watering game played at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.

The goal that separated the two sides came as early as the second minute when Sylvia Amankwah bounced on a loose ball to slot home putting the Prison Ladies ahead.

Police Ladies mounted some pressure to equalise but their efforts could not yield any good results as the defensive set up of the Prisons Ladies was up for the demanding task ahead.

The winners,Prison Ladies were rewarded with GHC10,000 in cash , the Sanford Trophy and gold medals.

Police ladies who were the runners up, also took home cash of GHc8,000, silver medals

Individual awards:
Discovery of the competition – Suzzy Dede Teye ( LadyStrikers)
Top scorer – Princella Adubea ( Ampem Darkoa, 6goals)
Best Player – Slyvia A. Amankwah ( Prisons Ladies)
