WORLD CUP 2018: GHANA’S LINE UP CONFIRMED FOR EGYPT GAME AS THREE NEW PLAYERS MAKE THEIR DEBUT

Ghana will be hosting Egypt in what is seen as a match of formality as the end results of the group is already known. Ghana’s official line up for the last round of matches for group E has been confirmed by Coach Kwasi Appian.

The Black Stars are looking forward to get a win in order to boost their position on the monthly FIFA rankings as indicated by Kwasi Appiah earlier on in the week.

Egypt are all set to make it to next year’s World Cup to be hosted in Russia whereas Kwesi Appiah will assess his squad for upcoming 2019 AFCON tournament after missing out of the World Cup.

Three new players will make their official debut with the Black Stars in the game; Kasim Nuhu, Edwin Gyasi and Nana Ampomah would have the chance to convince the technical handlers of their ability to remain in the team.

Young Boys defender Kasim Nuhu will partner Daniel Amartey at the centre of Ghana’s defense with Lumor Agbenyenu and Harrison Afful maintaining their regular positions on the right and left flanks respectively to complete the back four.

Norway based Edwin Gyasi will make his Black Stars debut in midfield for Sunday’s game along sideĀ  returnee Mubarak Wakaso, as well as Godfred Donsah and Ebenezer Ofori.

In the absence of team captain Asamoah Gyan, FC Zurich forward Raphael Dwamena will lead Ghana’s attack along with Nana Ampomah.

The game is expected to kick off at 15:30hrs at the Cape Coast Stadium.
