MTN FA Cup winners Kumasi Asante Kotoko has made an official visit to the offices of MTN Ghana as they presented the trophies they won in the ended season to the sponsors.
The Porcupine Warriors beat their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak 3-1 in an epic encounter played at the Tamale Sports Stadium, now Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
The delegation was led by Mr. Thomas Boakye Agyemang a member of the management and included Deputy captain Eric Donkor, defender Ahmed Adams and midfielder Owusu Jackson. The Technical team was represented by assistant coach Godwin Ablordey.
MTN Ghana were also represented by some management members as well as some of the workers on duty by then.
Mr. Modupe Kadri the interim CEO of the communication company said ” we are happy to renew our sponsorship deal with the club and we are doing quiet well and so we hope it will continue for a very long time.”
We have a contract with the club and we promised to support them in Africa and its still on course “he told Starr Sports
The Asante Kotoko delegation also presented the 2017 President’s Cup they won again defeating Hearts of Oak.
They will represent Ghana in the 2018 CAF Confederations Cup and are due to enjoy some monetary support from the sponsors of the FA Cup, MTN for clinching the trophy.
