The annual tournament (Top 8) organised by the Ghana League Clubs Association ( GHALCA) is due to take place in the coming weeks. The financial details for clubs participating in the tournament has been revealed by sources close to www.ghanamansports.com.
Participating Teams are ;
- Aduana FC
- Accra Hearts of Oak
- Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs
- Asante Kotoko – MTN FA Cup winners
- Karela FC
- Eleven Wonders
- Dreams FC
The winner is due to take home a total amount of GHc 35,000 as confirmed by an executive of GHALCA.
The appearance fee for all participating clubs is GHc 20,000. Clubs that get to the semi- final will earn Ghc 5,000. The Second placed team will also earn Ghc 5,000 with the winner claiming Ghc 10,000.
Meanwhile other conditions attached to the finacial gains that would also be of high interest for the clubs are as follow:
- Star Times are the official sponsors and any additional sponsorship money will see the clubs claiming 40%.
- Participating clubs will earn 50% of the gate proceeds with 40% going to GHALCA and National Sports Authority pocketing 10%
The tournament will start on January 6, 2017 to the first week of February.
This will serve as form of preparation for Aduana and Asante Kotoko who will be representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup respectively.
