Former Coach of Obuasi Ashgold, Bashir Hayford has denied suggestions that he has missed coaching his former side Kumasi Asante Kotoko but on the other side it is the Porcupine Warriors who missed his handy work rather. He expressed the confidence that Kotoko miss his good works as the results are there for all to see.
Coach Bash guided Kotoko to win the 2007/2008 Ghana Premier League with notable players like Eric Bekoe , Godfred Yeboah Francis Akwaffo, Adam Mohammed, Prince Anokye, and Jordan Opoku.
Though he still habours the idea of returning to Kumasi based club in future he insists he does not miss coaching Kotoko”I don’t miss Kotoko, Kotoko rather misses me for the good job I did for them” Bashiru told Fox FM in Kumasi.
”His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II is the one who promised me I will return to Kotoko, he Nana told me I am just on loan to any club I coach and i am looking forward to that promise”. he added
The former Ashanti Gold SC trainer is said to have agreed personal terms with Cape Coast based Ebusua Dwarfs to be appointed as the club’s new trainer following Brazilian Ricardo Cordeiro Da Rocha decision to part ways with the club.
He holds a good record of winning the the Ghana Premier League title for Ashanti Gold SC in the 2014/2015 for the first time 19 years but resigned from his post a year later following a poor start to the 2016/2017 season.
Coach Hayford who also handled Kpando Heart of Lions also confirmed his new appointment with Dwarfs and is due to start work on January 1, 2018 ahead of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season.
