KOTOKO CONFIRMS SQUAD FOR CAF CONFEDERATIONS CUP CAMPAIGN

The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has submitted a 23 man squad to the Confederation of African Football ahead of the 2018 CAF Confederation’s Cup.

This was confirmed on the official Twitter handle for the club on Wednesday night.

National Under 17 goal keeper, Danlad Ibrahim gets a promotion into the first team after his exploits with the Black Starlets in Gabon and India respectively. Former Aduana defender Wahab Adams is also in the list. New signing Mohammed Vie Sylla has also been included in the African Cup squad. Back to base Jordan Opoku is also added to ensure the team has enough experience to argument the campaign.

Missing from the list is their dependable defender, Ahmed Adams who has left for Kuwait. Goal keeper Ernest Sowah has also been left. Sowah has called on the management to let him move on after an alleged bribery allegation was levelled against him by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kwame Kyei.

The list, as seen below, comprises 3 Goalkeepers, 7 Defenders, 12 Midfielders and 4 strikers.
