LAWYER BOAFO SAYS CIRCLES EXECUTIVES HAVE DISRESPECTED DR KWAME KYEI

The legal Head of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Lawyer Yaw Boafo has reacted to allegations raised by the Executive body of the Supporters Group, Circles.

The astute lawyer denied allegations of personal interest as been the reason why he blocked the Circles from signing an official contract with Happy Man Bitters Company.

Lawyer Boafo gave his reaction to the current mishap between his outfit and the Circles through an interview on Metro FM in Kumasi.

He said, “It is never true that am a lawyer for ADONKO BITTERS that is the reason why I was blocking the Circles from signing the Contract with HAPPY MAN BITTERS”

“K5,Obeng Sekyere and Nana Kwame Dankwa have disrespected Dr Kyei and gone ahead to sign the contract with HAPPY MAN BITTERS” he continued.

On the League and African Cup Campaign

Lawyer Yaw Boafo went on to talk about  his opinion on the current squad with respect to their CAF Confederation Cup Campaign and up coming league.

“Is my wish that Kotoko will win the league next season and do well in Africa”

“I believe in the current squad for Africa and I think we need to give them the chance to also get experience in Africa”, he stated.

On Coach Pollack

Explaining the state of the relationship between the Head Coach and the management, Lawyer Boafo said “We(management) gave the mandate to the Coach to present his squad for Africa without our interference and we have players in the team who have tasted Africa before so we have confidence in them.

“We do not interfere with technical issues that is why we were not aware of some players training with the team”.

Asante Kotoko will play CARA club of Congo in February in the eliminatory stage of the competition.
