Reports reaching ghanamansports indicate that La Liga leaders FC Barcelona have officially agreed on the transfer of Brazilian Philippe Coutinho with English Premier League side Liverpool FC.
The deal which is reported to be around the region of £142m.
The former Vasco da Gama player will travel tonight and could be confirmed as early as tomorrow.
The deal was proposed to have happened last summer but Liverpool officials blocked it after Coutinho went on strike to force the move to the Camp Nou.
His Brazilian compatriot, Neymar left under bizarre circumstances to Paris St Germain in the summer which forced officials of the Catalan club to break bank for French winger Ousmanne Dembele. Another Brazilian Paulinho was also signed from Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande but has proved all his doubters wrong since his arrival.
Coutinho has previously played for city rivals of FC Barcelona, Espanyol Barcelona in 2012 before joining Liverpool. He also played International Milan and Vasco Da Gama.
