CAF’s Inspection Team have already arrived in Cameroon to visit the various facilities being constructed by the host nation for the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
The CAF inspection team is made up of five experts in diverse fields from an independent audit firm and the rest from the bureau of the African Football Confederation.
The crew got to business on Friday 12th January 2018 with the specific motive of assessing the sites and facilities to host the 2019 AFCON.
The CAF delegation has been instructed to ensure that Cameroon,the host of the 2019 AFCON respects the guidelines and the standards of the African Football Confederation.
For the first mission,the ten man delegation is expected to evaluate infrastructural facilities and health units.
The team will tour the six soccer grounds shortlisted to host the 24-format of the 2019 AFCON to get first hand information about the various stadia undergoing construction if they meet CAF’s regulations.
