The Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have decided to give prime attention to youth development after they announced some new alternations to its technical team with Godwin Ablordey been appointed as the new Technical Director of the Youth Team with Stephen Oduro as new Welfare Manager.

The club officials have also enhanced the use of former players by appointing some immediate past players in key positions of the club.Former captain Henry Ohene Brenya who retired at the end of last season, has replaced Ablordey as Team Manager of the Senior Team . Brenya joined the club in 2008 from Division-One side Berekum Arsenal.

Club legend Stephen Oduro has been named as the new Welfare Manager. Oduro joined Kotoko in 2000 after a protracted transfer saga which saw him ignoring Obuasi Ashgold for Asante Kotoko after his club the, Real Tamale United had negotiated his transfer to the Len Clay lads. He stood against all odds and decided to play for Kotoko though Ashgold were keen to sign him. He has been one of the longest serving players for the Porcupine Warriors though he had a season’s stint with South African side SuperSport United.
