Black Princess player, Rafiatu Kulchiri has expressed optimism about the team as they look to make great impact in the 2018 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The National Women’s U-20 team beat Cameroon 3-0 to qualify on a 4-1 aggregate after the two legged affair. The game took place at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
Rafiatu Kulchiri -Black Princesses Wing Attacker said “We are prepared to make mother Ghana proud. Our focus is not on money,we the players want to make a name for our self’s and Ghana”.
Star player Priscilla Adubea also spoke about her performance in the game ” I am very happy to have scored that goal because I never thought that ball would be a goal, I want to thank everyone who encouraged me before the game”.
Adubea got the second goal for the Princesses from a beautiful low carpet shot that caught the Cameroonian goal keeper unaware.
Goalkeepers trainer,Raymond Feni also invited companies to lend helping hands to the female side to ensure they are well motivated to deliver at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
” I would want to take this opportunity to appeal to corporate bodies to come on board and supports us because women football is on a whole different level now”.
“We want Ghanaian’s to support us physically and spiritually ahead of the 2018 World Cup”.
“Though it was a difficult task we have been able to qualify for the World Cup to be staged in France”.
