Ghana Football has been thrown into disarray as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) suspends its 24th Ordinary session of Congress due to court injunction.
The GFA Congress was scheduled to be held at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram on Thursday February 8, 2018.
This postponement is as a result of a legal action brought against the Association by Accra Great Olympics Football Club Limited.
The GFA has also indefinitely postponed its much publicized GFA Seminar for the Premier, Division One, Women League clubs, Match Officials and the Media scheduled for Wednesday February 7 at the GSCE in Prampram.
This was confirmed on the official website of the Association; www.ghanafa.org
Speaking to SVTV Africa, the Marketing Supervisor Of Nasco Electronics, Adiza Ibrahim said the injunction placed on the league can affect their brand.
“As first time sponsors, we were excited to share our new packages and brands with football patrons. Out of the blue we were told the launch has been called off. I’m not happy and it’s not good for my brand.
“We will keep our packages a secret till the Premier League board and Ghana Football Association communicate with us.” She told SVTV Africa.
The GFA has as a result given apologies to the general public and sponsors for any inconvenience caused by this postponement.
