Aduana Players have been promised a good sum of $2000 each if they should win their CAF Champions League first leg encounter against Libyan side Al Tahaddy.
Owner and Life Patron of the club, Osagyefo Agyemang Badu VI, Chief of Dormaa made the promise when the team paid a courtesy call on him prior to their departure for the CAF competition.
Dormaahene said ” I would like to encorage you to give up your best for this encounter to make us proud, you must be reminded that you are not representing on Dormaa State but the whole of Ghana and so I am rest assured that Ghanaians will be solidly behind you and our brothers Asante Kotoko (who also play in the Confederations Cup). We shall be supporting you with prayers and would be happy to hear positive results from both ends.”
“Therefore in order for you to give up your best, I am promising you $2000 each if you should win your first leg against the Libyan side and would go on to add more if you finish positively after the second leg too”. Nana Agyemang Badu confirmed.
A contingent of 30 left Accra on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 pm ahead of the clash which take place in Egypt due to security concerns in Libya.
Aduana are making a return to the competition for the first time since 2011 where they were eliminated by Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca.
