The Staff of Barclays Bank Ghana, Kumasi branch would be engaging their customers in some exhibition games during the Barclays Tennis Tournament on Saturday, May 19.
The Tournament which takes place at 8H00 GMT would also witness the host 4th Garrison Officers Mess Tennis Club taking on their rivals Ashanti Club at their club base located at Nhyiaeso in Kumasi.
The Tennis Tournament which is been sponsored by the Premier banking Section of Barclays Bank would see the staff of the bank engaging their customers in two exhibition games.
In an exclusive interview with Ghanamansports, Mr. Kenneth Akapko, the Kumasi Branch Manager of Barclays’ Premier Banking explained that the idea behind the sponsorship of the prestigious Tennis Tournament is to their customers. “This would give us the opportunity to create awareness and also get feedback on our Premier Banking”.
Asked why Barclays Premier Banking is giving such an important attention to Tennis in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Akakpo emphasised that ” Tennis is an activity involving sport and this would give us the platform of networking and also increasing the bond between staff and customers of Barclays Ghana”.
“After this event, we hope to continue afterwards in order to also promote the brand of our Premier in Ashanti Region and also Tennis as a sport”, he continued.
The Premier Banking is now been operated by the bank in other areas apart from Kumasi; Accra, Tamale and Takoradi.
