ADUANA STARS WIN TEAM OF THE YEAR AT THE GHANA FOOTBALL AWARDS

Aduana Stars have been named as the team of the year during the first ever Ghana Football Awards Ceremony. The Dormaa based club won the league in the 2016/17 season after shaking off challenge from WAFA.

Former captain of Accra Hearts of Oak, Thomas Abbey was named the local player of the year.

Thomas Teye Partey of Atltico Madrid was given the best footballer award during the beautiful ceremony held on Sunday, July 8 at the the Marriot Hotel in Accra.

The Atlético Madrid player beat Swansea star Jordan Ayew, Richard Ofori of Maritzburg United in South Africa and Aston Villa’s Albert Adomah to emerge Footballer of The Year.

Partey helped Atletico Madrid to win the Europa Cup last season.
