Lionel Messi and Cristiano Roanldo once again lead in the nominations made by the Technical Committee of FIFA for the 2018 Men’s Player of the year award.
The ten man list was released on Tuesday as confirmed by FIFA’s official website; FIFA.com.
France got most of the nominations as a result of winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Raphael Varane, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann.
For Club, Real Madrid had most players for nomination; Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Raphael Varane.
The Spanish Premiera Liga had four nominations and English Premier League also had four nominations. Italian Serie A and French Ligue un had one nomination respectively.
Neymar misses out
Conspicuously missing his Brazil’s talisman Neymar Da Silva Junior who also plays for Paris St. Germain. Neymar saw his switch to PSG been left questionable after he sustained a scary injury at the crescendo of the season. But his performance at the just ended FIFA World Cup was not enough to earn him a place in the best ten players.
