Report on matches played in the CAF Confederations Cup across the African continent are as interesting results were produced.
AS Vita Club brushed aside Aduana Stars 2-0 in the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup Group A match at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa, DR Congo on Sunday.
As a result, the DR Congo’s Vita climbed up to the top of group standings, while Ghanaian side Aduana Ogya moved down to third spot on the table.
Raja Casablanca also beat ASEC Mimosas 4-0 in the other match at the Stade Mohammed V in Morocco on Sunday.
As a result, Morocco’s Raja moved back to the top of the group standings, while Ivorian giants Mimosas remained fourth on the table.
Morocco’s RS Berkane suffered their first loss of the CAF Confederation cup and their lead at the top of Group B after going down 1-0 to Egypt’s Al Masry SC at the Port Said Stadium on Sunday night.
Following the victory Al Masry are now on eight points from four games and jumped above Berkane who are in second place on seven points.
In other game, UD Songo were held to a 1-1 home draw by Al Hilal.
After sharing of the spoils sees the Mozambicans remain in last place in Group B on two points, while the Sudanese giants are third on three points. The other group game sees Al Masry host RS Berkane later this evening.
Williamsville AC overcame Enyimba 2-0 in their Group C match at the Stade Robert Champroux in Ivory Coast on Sunday.
As a result, Ivory Coast’s Williamsville climbed up to the top of the group standings, while Nigerian side Enyimba moved down to third place on the table.
Djoliba AC suffered a major blow to their hopes of qualifying for the quarterfinals of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup after they were beaten 1-0 by CARA Brazzaville at the Stade Alphonse Massemba-Debat on Sunday afternoon.
The result sees the Congo side move to the top of Group C on six points, while the Malians drop to fourth on four points. The status of the pool will change later in the day when the other match between Enyimba and Williamsville is played in Abidjan.
