BLACK STARS TO ACCLIMATIZE IN ETHIOPIA AHEAD OF KENYA AFCON QUALIFIER

The Liaison Team handling Ghana Football has arranged for the Senior National Team, Black Stars to hold a training camp in Ethiopia.

This is to enable the Stars prepare very well and also acclimatize to the weather before travelling to Kenya to play the Harambee Stars in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier next month, according to our sources close to the Liaison Committee.

The FIFA/Liaison Team is in charge of arrangements to ensure the team maintains their perfect start.

Kenya will host Ghana at the MISC Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.The highly anticipated clash has been scheduled to come off on September 8, 2018.

Ghana started their campaign with a heavy 5-0 win over Ethiopia at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Coach Kwasi Appiah is yet to release his squad for the Kenya game. He is expected to name the squad on Wednesday,August 22, 2018.

The match was in danger after FIFA threatened to ban Ghana because of court related issues on liquidation of the Ghana Football Association. An emergency meeting between FIFA Executives and representatives of the Ghana Government came to a consensus of forming a Normalization Team to run football till further notice.
