ANTOINE GRIEZMANN WINS EUROPA LEAGUE BEST PLAYER FOR 2017/18

France striker Antoine Griezmann is the best player for the UEFA Europa League in 2017/18 season.

The 27 year old attacker, finished well clear of Marseille’s Dimitri Payet and Atlético Madrid team-mate Diego Godín to capture the second edition of the award, which was announced during the UEFA Europa League group stage draw in Monaco.

Griezmann was man of the match as Atlético clinched the trophy in May, scoring twice to set up a 3-0 victory over Marseille in a final staged in Lyon – just 45 minutes from his home town of Macon.

Two months later Griezmann picked up another man of the match prize in a major final, converting a penalty and playing a part in two other goals as France won the FIFA World Cup!
