The Normalization Committee and Technical team of the Senior National team, the Black Stars have confirmed the friendly match against Kumasi based side Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The match is due to be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, October 12 at 4:00 pm.
This was quickly arranged in place of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against West African side Sierra Leone. The Leone Stars were prevented from honouring the match by FIFA as a result a ban after the country’s FA President and General Secretary were forced to step aside amid corruption charges.
Speaking on Kumasi based radio station, Boss FM, the deputy coach of the Black Stars, Maxwell Konado confirmed the friendly against the Porcupine Warriors.
“Recently Kotoko have shown that they are on top form. They have played and beaten Hearts of Oak and played against Ashgold. They were even in Tanzania and I think they will give is a good match.” He said.
“Felix is a Kotoko player and this match can be a good test for him in front of his own fans”.
“This would also be a good test for us as we prepare for Ethiopia in November. The new players would have a very prudent chance to make their case”.
He therefore called on the Kumasi fans to come in their numbers to support the two sides.
