NORMALIZATION COMMITTEE IN A FIX AS THERE ARE NO FUNDS AVAILABLE TO RUN FOOTBALL

Ghana Football is still in a fix as the Normalization Committee do not have access to monetary facilities to run football in the country.

Ghana’s Normalization Committee met the press on Wednesday afternoon in Accra. Dr. Kofi Amoah who is head the interim management committee confirmed that they are facing some challenges as the accounts of the Football Association remains blocked.

The accounts were blocked by the Security Institutions of the Country amid investigations into the dealings of the former Executive Committee of Ghana Football Association, led by Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi.

“I am sorry to say this but the Ghana Police are yet to hand over the accounts of the GFA”Naa Odofoley Nortey a member of the Committee told the Media on Wednesday.

“We’ve had to pre-finance some of our activities in the hope that when we are finally given access to the accounts, there will be some funds to defray our debts,”

Lateness and Insults

The Press Conference was nearly marred by some insults when Lawyer Dua Adonteng of the Normalization Committee used strong words to describe a journalist.

A freelance journalist, Mr. Ekow Asmah queried why the spokesperson of the Normalization Committee (Dan Kweku Yeboah) had asked the gathering to clap for the legal practitioner on account of him being a lawyer.

A furious Mr Adonteng interrupted him, replying: “You don’t know what you are talking about…”. He added: ” I am not interested in this stupidity”.
