Kumasi Girls and St. Louis start on a brighter note at the 2018/19 Spriteball Girls Competition

The female section of the 2018/19 Spriteball Competeition began with some fire on Friday at the El Wak Sports Stadium.

St. Louis Girls from the Ashanti Region returned with a bang to qualify for the quarter finals. The Slopsans last appeared for the national competition in 2011.

The defending champions, Kumasi Girls once again exhibited their championship traits when they mishandled a 43-16 win over Mfantsiman before delivering a 12-11 win over WASS in a hard-fought matchup.

St. Louis Senior High School recorded another big win courtesy a 29-14 win over Nkawkaw Senior High School on its return to the Sprite Ball Championship.
