Violence erupts in Berekum as Sharks destroy Dreams

Elmina sharks made meat of Dreams FC with a 5-1 scoreline when the second round of the Normalization Committee Special Cup took off on Sunday, April 28, 2019.

Some interesting results were produced as Karela came from two goals down to equalize against Liberty Professionals. Liberty were leading 3-1 in the early minutes of the second half but Karela galantly fought back to record a 3-3 scoreline, thus earning a vital 1 point.

Benjamin Eshun scores twice with Simon Zibo on target for the soccer professionals while Diwaisie Taylor’s brace and Solomon Sarfo helped pull the Aiyanase lads level.

WAFA also got their revenge over Dwarfs with Prosper Ahiabu and Timothee Koudo help avenge Wednesday’s defeat in Cape Coast.

Accra Hearts of Oak also recorded a double header win over Inter Allies with 2-0 scoreline at the Tema Sports Stadium. The Phobians had won 2-1 in Accra four days earlier. Joseph Esso and Kofi Kordzi were on target for Hearts of Oak.

In the Premier A matches, there were unpleasant scenes that marked the day at the Golden City Park in Berekum. Kotoko’s Operational Manager, Dr. Amoo Sarpong was seriously wounded in a tussle with the fans and security before the game. Nonetheless, the match ended in a barren draw between the two sides.

Techiman Eleven Wonders began the second round with some great performance when they walloped Bechem United 3-0 in Bechem. Solomon Afriyie, Francis Antwi, Alex Asamoah were the scorers for Wonders in the BA derby game
