GHALCA demand recognition from Normalization Committee

The Ghana League Clubs Association Normalization Committee (GHALCA) have demanded recognition as stakeholders of Ghana Football from the Normalization Committee.

Mr. Ebo Appiah, who is the spokesperson for GHALCA stated that his outfit would want to be given the opportunity to contribute immensely to the rebuilding of Ghana Football.

He explained that GHALCA are and should be considered as important stakeholders of Ghana Football.

In an interview with the Finder Sports Ebo Appiah said “We want to be part of the process to reform our football. We realise that maybe we didn’t help much during the first tenure of the Normalization Committee and that is why we want to rectify it. We just want to help in any way or form before the end of the second tenure in September.”

|It has been confirmed that GHALCA held a meeting last week where they have decided to draft a petition to be sent to the Normalisation Committee which is expected to be endorsed by all the clubs.

But the petition has been met with some opposition by some of the clubs who do not think the petition is needed.

GHALCA have also asked for roadmap from the Committee on how they plan to restore Ghana Football to its normal trend. And then they should be informed periodically about the progress of work by the NC.

They have however promised their infringing support to the Committee and opened their doors for any relevant assistance where necessary.

The said petition would also be sent to FIFA and CAF as well as government of Ghana.
