Osei Tutu and Salifu Zida retain seats after Regional Football Elections

The Elections for new leaders to take over the new era of Ghana Football began today across the Nation.

The Regional Football Associations went into voting for the various Chairmen in the old ten regions of the Country.

There are new entrants after some of the old Chairmen did not contest; Greater Accra, Northern, Eastern and Central all saw new person been elected.

Samuel Aboabri of Greater Accra

Osei Tutu Agyemang of Ashanti and Salifu Zida of Upper East retained their seats after been reelected.


This will pave way for the Executive Committee elections which takes place in a week’s time.

This is results of the elections in the various regions:

Upper East

Mohammed Munkaelu Jnr. Attiah – 8 votes

Salifu Shaibu Zida – 24 votes

Upper West

Seidu Bomison — 7
Baba Pele — 11
Alhaji Biyad Sadugu Yahya — 16

Brong and Ahafo

Ralph Gyambrah — 52
Charles Anton — 47

Northern Region

Alhaji Abu Alhassan Mahamadu 41

Umar Farouk karimu 22

Volta Region

WINNER – Daniel Agbogah
By Popular Acclamation after being unopposed.

Western Region

Simon Ehoma: 47

Bismark: 26 votes

Ashanti Region

Osei Tutu Agyemang(Kotoro) 41
