Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC is set to be investigated by the
official owner of the club, His Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu Ababio, Asantehene.
This is confirmed in a press released this evening by the Palace and signed
by the Chief of Staff, Mr Kofi Badu.
This is as a result of the current impasse between Asante Kotoko and
Esperance of Tunisia following the errors committed in the transfer of striker Emmanuel Klottey.
The Ghanaian club has been asked by the world football governing body, FIFAto pay an amount of $240,000 to the Tunisian club.
Dr. Kwame Kyei, the Executive Chairman of Kotoko has also submitted a comprehensive report on his three year mandate to His Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu.
A three man committee has therefore been set up to investigate the errors
which led to the $240,000 debt.
The committee will are also tasked to go into the reasons why the Management of the team failed to meet obligatory regulations for the Ghana Premier League club licence.
The committee has been given four weeks to submit their report to the King
and his elders.
