Ghana face Uganda today for the Group D opening match in the ongoing AFCON 2017.
Ahead of the match Black Star Coach, Avram Grant has told the media that there is pressure to deliver against the Cranes of Uganda.
“Football without pressure is not good.I don’t think you can achieve something without pressure.”He said.
“There is the pressure from our group. If you see the players training and they lose, they are not so happy. It puts them in a pressure to win”.
“I don’t want to use pressure as a negative word but I think it is good because without pressure you can’t achieve anything.
” I know my players for two years now and I think they can achieve a lot of things”.
The under pressure coach who took over the job for the last two years has been questioned about his style of play and tactics he deploys in black stars games.
The coach had not won in his last four games before the friendly game with Bunyodkor in their their Pre-AFCON preparations where they won.
Uganda held Ghana in the opening game of the 2018 World Cup qualifier played in Ghana in 2016 and are expected to boost their confidence ahead of the second leg with a win against the Ugandans today.
