Kotoko retires Oduro’s jersey

The current Management Board of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has decided to retire the number four(4) Jersey in honour of club legend Stephen Oduro’s

According to an official communique, the player will be drafted into another capacity within the team for his loyal and dedicated service to the club over the years.

A testimonial match is also likely to be organised in his name for his service to the club.

Oduro remains one of the longest serving players in the history of the club.He joined the club from Real Tamale United in the year 1999 after a successful campaign at the Fifa U-17 World Cup in New Zealand. And the significant show case before joining the Porcupine Warriors was when he insisted on playing for Kotoko when Obuasi Asgold had already completed his move with RTU.

He left the club in 2006 for a short spell with south African club Super sport United and returned after 6 months.

He has won himself domestic titles like the Swag Cup,FA cup,Ghalca Top 4,Gala and the Ghana premier League among others.
